For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Pelikan M800 Black Fountain Pen with Gold Trim fitted with a 14K Fine nib. This pen has been taken apart, cleaned, piston greased, put back together, and back in wonderful writing condition.

The Pelikan M800 is a solid black pen complemented by gold-plated trim. The large 2-tone nib is made of 14k gold and designated "FF" or Fine Flexible. The fountain pen is equipped with a differential brass piston-filling mechanism that works so smoothly. The smooth operating piston mechanism allows you to fill this pen with bottled ink, and the green ink window allows you to see your ink level.

There are no nicks, chips, or cracks on this fountain pen. The cap banding is stamped with, "PELIKAN GERMANY". The cap and barrel are excellent with the cap always securing tightly to the barrel. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. The top of the cap shows the two chick cap logo. This Pelikan M800 measures 5 5/8" inches in length capped and 6 1/2" inches posted.

This Pelikan M800 features gold plate trim to the cap and barrel all highly polished. The Piston Filler works with such ease and to perfection. This Pelikan piston filler window has a green, water-clear, ink window.

The NIB is a 14K - 585 FF Two-Tone with a fine point. The actual fountain pen tipping measures .54mm when measured using a digital caliper. In the listing writing sample, this Pelikan M800 will write with a variation between a fine to medium line of .58mm to .72mm when measured with digital calipers. The writing sample provided was done with the actual pen in the images listed for sale. The writing sample was used by dipping the NIB in Montblanc Blue Ink.

The Pelikan M800 Black with Gold Trim is a large classic, elegant pen. With its black resin body and contrasting gold plate trim. Its understated simplicity makes the M800 an ideal everyday writer or a pen for black-tie affairs. I would consider this Pelikan M800 to be in Excellent Condition. It is ready to write with or add to your writing arsenal collection.
